Upfront are looking for singer/songwriters, musicians, bands, anyone who is interested in creating music and anyone wanting to be involved in promotion and event management.
YCP brings you UP:FRONT music festival !! a festival organised by young people for the local community. we will have local performers from the local scene as well as activities and stalls for all the family.
The Youth & Community Partnership, also known as YCP, is an organisation formed by three youth workers and was given one of our team awards. No longer part of the local authority and working seven days a week to provide an excellent service, they sincerely believe that young people deserve a chance to improve their lives.
Offering opportunities from their base at Meols Cop Youth & Community Centre & [The House Recording Studio] (link), their programmes are developed to address needs as identified by young people. In addition the ‘not for profit’ organisation wants to make a difference by stretching and challenging the minds of young people and community members. Robert Hancock who nominated Daniel Wilson, Patrice Hey and Patricia Wilson for the award hopes
it will show them that they are valued in the community in Southport and among all the young people with whom they work.
He said ‘I have never met people who are so passionate, they are always putting other people first. I don’t feel they get the credit they deserve for the tireless effort they put in.’
